Class Description

Yoga offers many different styles of physical practice, known as asana. In the Western world, physical practice is often the gateway to something deeper: the journey back to your true self.

If you’re new to yoga and unsure where to start, these descriptions might help you find the right practice for you. And if you have any questions, feel free to reach out!

Vinyasa, Power & Hot Yoga

Power Yoga

A strength-focused, energizing practice designed to build endurance, stability, and power. Expect longer holds, upper body engagement, and balancing postures that challenge your muscles while increasing resilience and control. This class emphasizes shoulder and arm strength, core stability, and deep activation of the main muscle groups. While still breath-centered, the pace is more intentional, allowing for deeper engagement and progressive strength building.

Vinyasa Flow

A fluid and dynamic sequence, where movement follows breath in a continuous, rhythmic flow. This class moves at a faster pace, transitioning seamlessly from one posture to the next, helping to increase flexibility, coordination, and breath awareness. Expect full-body engagement, creative sequences, and a sense of moving meditation that leaves you feeling both invigorated and balanced.

Hot Yoga (could be Vinyasa Flow or Power)

A dynamic and energizing class practiced in a heated room (32–38°C), designed to help you build strength, flexibility, and endurance. The heat allows your body to move deeper into postures while promoting detoxification through sweat. Expect a strong, flowing sequence that connects breath with movement—ideal if you want a powerful practice that leaves you feeling cleansed, grounded, and revitalized.

Please note

Hot Yoga is not recommended for:

• Pregnant individuals

• People with uncontrolled high or low blood pressure

• Anyone with heart conditions

• Those sensitive to heat or prone to dizziness/dehydration

Always consult your doctor if you’re unsure whether this practice is right for you.

Hatha & Fundations Yoga

Hatha & Foundations Yoga

A slower-paced, alignment-focused practice centered on traditional yoga postures without tricky or creative transitions. Instead of flowing sequences, this class focuses on fundamental asanas, mindful transitions, and longer holds to build strength, stability, and awareness. With detailed cueing and alignment guidance, it’s ideal for beginners or anyone looking for a grounded and intentional practice that deepens their understanding of yoga.

Yin & Restorative Yoga*

* they're not the same!!

Yin Yoga

A passive and meditative practice designed to work on the deep connective tissues- fascia, ligaments, and joints- while also stimulating the body’s meridians and energetic centers. In this practice, postures are held for three to seven minutes, allowing the body to gently open and release tension. Yin Yoga helps improve flexibility, enhance mobility, and create space in the body and mind. It’s also a powerful preparation for meditation, as it encourages stillness and introspection. Props are used to support the body, making this practice accessible and deeply nourishing.

Restorative Yoga

A deeply restorative and healing practice designed to activate the parasympathetic nervous system (rest & digest mode). Each practice includes only a few postures, held for 5 to 10 minutes, but they are powerful and deeply effective. With the support of props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks, the body is fully supported, allowing for total relaxation without muscular engagement. Restorative Yoga is ideal for injury recovery, stress relief, or anyone seeking deep rest and renewal.

Breathwork & Meditation

Breathwork & Meditation Sessions

A deeply introspective practice that explores Pranayama (breath control), Dharana (concentration), and Dhyana (meditation)- the final stages of the Eight Limbs of Yoga. These sessions focus on different breathing and meditation techniques to help you access deeper states of consciousness, regulate the nervous system, and cultivate mental clarity, inner peace, and self-awareness. You’ll also learn practical tools to integrate mindfulness into your daily life, enhancing your ability to navigate stress and emotions with ease. Suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners.
